Can these fit 3 AAA NIMH? Do any holders exist like that?

Do you mean AAA or AA? I'm pretty sure they'll fit AAA without any trouble at all... AA might be possible, but my guess is there's not quite enough of a diameter for those.

Incidentally, I owe you a call...

I was asking about AAA since I did not think AA would fit. AA would be awesome (2 or 3 side by side)

    Thanks!

If so, that's just made my day, and well worth the 2 month delay

Teardrops and/or knurled finish, as long as quality and built is like the previous bodies, I do not mind waiting.....Oh some pictures of the knurled bodies would be nice....

Leef - PM sent - I hope not too late to join your list.
I'm sorry about the delay you have suffered, but glad to hear about the knurling.

STATUS -- After careful analysis, I realized that I only had to remake the bodies. The necks and tailcaps are fine. I gave the new prototype to the CNC shop last week and I'd guess they'll have them finished in 1-2 weeks. Then add who-knows how long for the %^$#@!& plater, and they'll be ready!

Look up...see that limb? I'm going WAY out on it and projecting that the Hound will have these parts in early November.

Oh yes -- with some heads and some batteries, you'll need a magnet in front of the battery. Of course, motivated solely by my concern for safety, I strongly recommend the Leef Safety Magnets (the thinner one is best).

    Hello Leef,

I would like to buy one body for the A123 batteries. I would like the body to be for 1 A123 with an extender to add a second A 123.

Would also like an adaptor for the SF M head

    Would also like a tailcap.

If you are taking prepayments, please let me know.l

Bill -Leef has a list at post #1 of this thread. I don't know how current it is, but it should give you an idea of the numbers thus far.

BTW - you and I are the only two (so far) to order the A123 body. Do you have one of Milky's little chargers?

    Cheers.

Bill, no problem. As soon as these are on the Hound's shelves, I'll post a notice and you should be able to order whatever you want.

I appreciate your interest. As people learn more about these A123 cells, they should be very popular!

Leef I will probably go the A123 route as well.
    They pack quite a punch!

How about a strike bezel in black HAIII for C/Z/P series since none exist on the market except in gloss black. I have a gloss black one on one of your 2 X 18500 bodies, but I'd like to have the option of HAIII.

Also one in HAIII natural since there are no strike bezel options on the market at all that match HAIII natural Sure-Fire lights. At least that I'm aware of.

Also more Leef C-M and C-C bodies, but without anodized tail threads please!

Will a 3C body accommodate two A123 cells with a spacer?

BTW, you should make more Safety Magnets.

    Not only magnets, but more:

tailcaps of various types, particularly the hex ones
    2x18500 tubes
    2x18650 tubes
    some 3x18500 tubes
    some 3x18650 tubes
and please some extenders in 123, 18500,& 18650 sizes!

I also think that some of the 1x18XXX tubes may be out as well.

Basically I can't wait for the Big Leef to be done, not just because I want one, but because I want a bunch of the other stuff waiting in line to be made...

Would I be able to run a Surefire MN21 500 lumen HOLA off two AW C's with this system? If so, how long do you think it would last?

    Hello Kirk,

Yes. I have one of the Joe chargers. Sorry I didnt answer sooner. I stumbled across this thread and forgot that I had posted here. Two or three A 123's -- and the ability to switch one, two or three -- is very appealing.

Since the MN21 draws around 5 amps, and the 5761 draws 5.5, and quite a few people are running 2 C's with the 5761, I think it will work...
    Will work for lights.

The MN21 is designed to take into account of the voltage sag you get with CR123s, and is a 6.7v bulb. You might instaflash it with 2 Li Ion C cells, as they dont sag like primaries.

Indeed, but the 5761 is a nominal 6v bulb...

Fivemega reports that the MN21 is "touchy" with 2x "C" Li-Ions. I think that's quite a nice way of saying "Don't expect it to last very long."
    Resistance is futile...
