I couldn't resist!

A2 on fresh Protected-AW-RCR123's

Cree P4 driven at 800mA though the 4* optic

SSC magmod(stock reflector&polycarbonate lens) direct-drive on 3 C alkalines

Aspheric P4 driven at 1A

Aspheric on left SSC magmod on right

Asperical on left, SSC magmod on right; Aimed into the sky-notice the end of the fog, it was very odd looking to see the beams abruptly stop

The big finale!

I love beamshots, never fails when I see it posted, don't matter what light it is, I am going to check it out. Thanks Rcats, the next foggy weekend that I am off I will do the same with my newly mag LED Soul mods, hburner.

Glad you guys like them :)

How did you get AW's protected cells to fit in the A2?

I bored out the brass ring near the tail end of my A2, the battery tube itself was wide enough. The only thing stopping the cells beforehand was the brass ring. You can do it with a small half moon file and some careful filing, just stick a cottonball inside your A2 to block shavings from falling forward.

Click to see the full size image (this is what I'm using as my avatar). Vinet with Cree Optic, Ultrafire C2, Lumapower M1 with Aspheric Lens, the last one is basically a "frankenstein" light thrown together with leftovers from other projects.
