Split Rings

This may seem like an odd request but I'm looking for some good (size 7) split rings. All of the ones I've bought so far always seem to stay deformed after I attach them to my Mini-clip. The problem with them staying deformed is that they sometimes poke holes in my pockets and my Arc sometimes works it way off the split ring because of the gap. The Only size seven split rings that always spring back to their original shape are the ones that come with the Photon microlights. Anyone know where they get their split rings from or who makes them?

Where did you buy size 7 split rings which deformed? What brand?

The last batches I bought were from the fishing supply section at Gander Mountain, Farm & Fleet, and ****'s Sporting Goods.

I've bought the SS split rings from a number of places, hardware stores, etc. The problem is that, even though I'm real careful not to stretch it too far, they deform easily when I attach them to a mini-clip, etc.

Not sure what size 7 is, but the ones I use are about 0.5" diameter and if you are careful not to pry them too far open they will fit on to a McGizmo mini-clip OK without deforming.
