# Thread: SPY005 & SPY007 projections and goals...Part 2

1. ## Re: SPY005 & SPY007 projections and goals...Part 2

How's about that upgrade service? I'm becomming jealous with all this Easter egg talk!

2. ## Re: SPY005 & SPY007 projections and goals...Part 2

(July, Friday the 13th, 2007) The final Easter Egg 7 hint;

1) The easter egg is on power-up-2.

2) It rhymes with "SPY 00 5 midgets".

3) Don't forget your Euclidean plane geometry.

4) Baseball, hot dogs, apple ___ and Chevrolet.

BTW, the rhyme hint was "__ to 5 digits". Well there you go!

3. ## Re: SPY005 & SPY007 projections and goals...Part 2

Oh my I got it! Cool!

4. ## Re: SPY005 & SPY007 projections and goals...Part 2

Man - I know it's been a long week, but even after I figured out the clues, I'm still clueless!

Me too, I've no idea.

Slick, Dave. Talk about over-engineered. As much as I reviewed Euclidian Geometry in the last couple days, I didn't think of pi as a Euclidian concept and the books didn't help. Even knowing pi is the key, you have to know how to use it. And I finally got it!!! Now I can die a happy man.

7. ## Re: SPY005 & SPY007 projections and goals...Part 2

Ok... got it. Finally.

8. ## Re: SPY005 & SPY007 projections and goals...Part 2

Me too, finally got it. Very cool.

9. ## Re: SPY005 & SPY007 projections and goals...Part 2

This is the first 1000 digits of pi.

You only need 5 of them.

Cheers

I am so happy you guys got it. For a designer, a puzzle like this is not an easy thing to gauge. I was thinking it was too easy, that was defiantly not the case!

I will never know how I would have faired at the challenge. I used to play the Myst and Riven PC games all the time, they presented many puzzles along these same lines. Ahhh, the old days when I had more time to play PC games.

Now all we need is one of those fake plastic candles that sets over top of the SPY.

Cheers
Dave

11. ## Re: SPY005 & SPY007 projections and goals...Part 2

I loved Myst - what a beautiful game that was...graphics, music, story - a totally elegant package.

And what Trashman said on the upgrade boards. Can't wait for those.

12. ## Re: SPY005 & SPY007 projections and goals...Part 2

Ok so how about spelling it out for those of us that are mathmatically challenged!

13. ## Re: SPY005 & SPY007 projections and goals...Part 2

Its as easy as opening a safe.

. . .

Yea it was quite a fantasy. One of the worlds in Myst is where I got many of my ideas for my tree house.

15. ## Re: SPY005 & SPY007 projections and goals...Part 2

Once in candle mode i turned it back to zero. After awhile the candle went out and the 5 light levels came back. Bravo, Data!

16. ## Re: SPY005 & SPY007 projections and goals...Part 2

Do I get this right ... upon battery change I can stumble oer such an egg and encounter the effects depending on the position of the knob? Meaning I can have fun trying to figure out WTH my light is doing?

Yea, you got it.

19. ## Re: SPY005 & SPY007 projections and goals...Part 2

The converter board and LED upgrade of the Chrome SPY 005 is starting up.

Cheers
Dave

21. ## Re: SPY005 & SPY007 projections and goals...Part 2

Spy glows....
The pictures may look large but their actual sizes are small at around 50Kb each.

22. ## Re: SPY005 & SPY007 projections and goals...Part 2

Too many Spies?

23. ## Re: SPY005 & SPY007 projections and goals...Part 2

It's amazing. Even though I own a spy everytime see new pictures
of the spy I get instant spy-drool.

I don't know if I'm dave/wayne upgrade certified, but I'd offer my
tinkering skills to help with the upgrade process.

Hi tanasit,

I think, you can not have too many spy`s at any time.

They are beauties all together and i love them

From these photos i was so inspired, that i tested my new photo suit-case with daylight lamps the first time. I have to learn and play a little bit with this. First photos are coming. Hope the next one will be better.

Cheers

Here is a 4 second exposure on a tripod lit with TV and 2 Lm source bounced from ceiling.

The trits aren't glued in, they are held in place with strapping tape. This has worked with no issues for the past year on my original spy and lets me change colors to suit my mood.

28. ## Re: SPY005 & SPY007 projections and goals...Part 2

Always enjoy pictures of Spy's and I think that I will take more!!

29. ## Re: SPY005 & SPY007 projections and goals...Part 2

Great pics. How did you get the head and switch knob so shiny?

30. ## Re: SPY005 & SPY007 projections and goals...Part 2

BN,

Light came that way, perhaps the sun and outside light enhances? I haven't polished (too lazy)
