    (July, Friday the 13th, 2007) The final Easter Egg 7 hint;

    1) The easter egg is on power-up-2.

    2) It rhymes with "SPY 00 5 midgets".

    3) Don't forget your Euclidean plane geometry.

    4) Baseball, hot dogs, apple ___ and Chevrolet.

BTW, the rhyme hint was "__ to 5 digits". Well there you go!

Slick, Dave. Talk about over-engineered. As much as I reviewed Euclidian Geometry in the last couple days, I didn't think of pi as a Euclidian concept and the books didn't help. Even knowing pi is the key, you have to know how to use it. And I finally got it!!! Now I can die a happy man.

I am so happy you guys got it. For a designer, a puzzle like this is not an easy thing to gauge. I was thinking it was too easy, that was defiantly not the case!

I will never know how I would have faired at the challenge. I used to play the Myst and Riven PC games all the time, they presented many puzzles along these same lines. Ahhh, the old days when I had more time to play PC games.

Now all we need is one of those fake plastic candles that sets over top of the SPY.

    Cheers

I loved Myst - what a beautiful game that was...graphics, music, story - a totally elegant package.

And what Trashman said on the upgrade boards. Can't wait for those.

    . . .

Yea it was quite a fantasy. One of the worlds in Myst is where I got many of my ideas for my tree house.

Once in candle mode i turned it back to zero. After awhile the candle went out and the 5 light levels came back. Bravo, Data!

Do I get this right ... upon battery change I can stumble oer such an egg and encounter the effects depending on the position of the knob? Meaning I can have fun trying to figure out WTH my light is doing?

There is a type of perfection that transcends the quest for lumens. Buying a $250 1-cell light for "lum factor" is like buying a $250 single malt Scotch for the alcohol content.

    Spy glows....
The pictures may look large but their actual sizes are small at around 50Kb each.

It's amazing. Even though I own a spy everytime see new pictures
of the spy I get instant spy-drool.

    I don't know if I'm dave/wayne upgrade certified, but I'd offer my
tinkering skills to help with the upgrade process.

Here is a 4 second exposure on a tripod lit with TV and 2 Lm source bounced from ceiling.

The trits aren't glued in, they are held in place with strapping tape. This has worked with no issues for the past year on my original spy and lets me change colors to suit my mood.
