Sorry if this one was asked before , but I couldn't find the answer yet .
I have a cheapo 4XAA light that I want to make it my first mod . It came with a bulb that says "4.8V 0.5A" , and I want to give it a xenon bulb and a lens .
Will this one http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.3062 do the job ? The light is going to stay with it's plastic reflector for now , unless I'll find a way to change it without destroying the light , so I guess it's going to be a "momentary on" operation ...
Thanks for your help !

chances are that your cheapo 4AA light takes PR base bulbs and so this bulb won't fit. Those bulbs are for the cheap Chinese flashlights.

a simple and cheap upgrade is to replace the bulb with a 4.8v xenon or a 3.6v krypton.

the overdriven kryton will most likely give you 'better' output than the 4.8v xenon at the expense of bulb life and possibly, reliability. :)
