Hello again folks! Long time non-poster and just getting back. . .

On my "gotta-go-there-one-day" travel list, this in definitely one of the places I'd like to visit (fate allowing). Anyone been/lived/worked there?

TIA

If you are a smoker, it isn't a great destination unless you want to give up. It is the only country in the world where smoking is completely banned everywhere.

Thanks DM51! Since you've been the only one whose responded, may I ask for further details when you went there?

If you're in the US, find a government documents depository library in your area. Most larger libraries at least should have a government documents section. Among other the things it does, the CIA prepares background information, country studies, and information that can be useful for travelers. The State Department also has information for travelers. Things to research: culture, economics, social conditions, political conditions, and health/medical concerns. Do not forget to research how the population reacts to tourists and how popular (or not) Americans are there.
