Is this supposed to be water-proof?

I got an FM35 Red filter for my G2 and noticed a couple things:
it appears to be nitrolon
looks nice
when cover is closed, leaks water to the area between the primary lense and the filter.

Are the filters supposed to be water tight in any way?
when I close it and turn on the light I see a gap in the rubber thing and the cover, any ideas at all?

TIA,

Really? No ideas? I'm just trying to figure out if the FM35 Filter is supposed to be water tight when on the light (G2 in my case).
TIA,

No the beamfilters are not meant to be waterproof, and do not claim to be.

However, the seal should be "light-proof" and if it isn't for your beamfilter and you need it to be then some tweaking with the 'seal' may help sort it.

okay, thnks very much Al!
I messed around with the light last night in my back yard and I really like it! I think I might get a couple glo-toobs to get my really low output red and another color for a more general purpose (I'm thinking one red and one blue/green, but I can't get all three! Gah!).
Anyways, any ideas when the Lithium glo-toobs gonna come out? it said on their site it was slated for release february of 07 and it's july…
Hago and TYVM!!!!!!!!!
