Anybody know the correct written form for "GaAsFET"?

Just landed a new job as a tech writer... can't seem to find this in any of the stylebooks.

The existing documentation has "GaAsFET"

Was wondering if it's more correct to use "GaAs FET"

Both are listed in the IEEE and USGPO stylebooks individually, but not together!

GaAs is an abbreviation for Gallium Arsenide. FET is for Field Effect Transistor. GaAs FET should be acceptable. Gallium Arsenide is the chemistry in the device and is sometimes used in the manufacture of LEDs :D
