Newly Enlightened
Hello All,
Like it said, I know I broke my cheap headlamp ( http://candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=127394 ) , I was trying to see what the Amperes were at the led and "sniff sniff" NOOO... magic smoke...... Doh... now the main Lux I or III is glowing very dim and will not shut off. when I cycle thru the levels it stays dim but actually works backwards getting brighter(a whole 5 lumens about which I don't mind but it never shuts off & drains the batteries...) instead of dimmer (like it normally would).
I wonder if you guys can tell me is it the resistors or the only the LED that lost its magic smoke? Or better yet can I fix it, or should I give it a snip, snip
and call it low level light only.
I appreciate your helps on the matter.
Thank you,
