Well as of this post it looks like Kiu's last forum activity was on 3/26, about 20 days ago. Has anybody heard a word or received a kit lately? His PM is full.

I don't think that's the issue. I think the main problem is that the first post states

Most order will be shipped within 2 working days and an email will be sent to confirm. (reply to the email of your paypal acc.)

Of course, perhaps you could argue that "most" doesn't mean all. While I do hope and expect that Kiu will deliver soon, I too have not received any confirmation or replies to my questions I emailed to him, for 2 weeks now.

Whether or not he delivers on time, I think communication is key and that is a bit lacking in my opinion - at least by what Kiu himself said he would communicate. (2 days, confirmation email)

Now, if the first post stated "I'm busy right now and will do my best ... etc.. but may have delays..", then I'd be ok with that - at least I know what I'm getting into.

So, nothing against Kiu, and I do trust that he will send things out at some point, but being customers in limbo isn't the nicest thing.

Yes, I know the feeling... I even communicated such to a seller in the MP earlier this evening myself. But Kiu is a VERY solid entity here, and I'll stake my word on it that you'll have your items soon.

I've personally experienced his sales ethic/commitment to getting these kits out shortly after his hometown was hit by a major earthquake a few years ago.

... and he's STILL HERE providing the same, quality product!

Well, as I said, the problem is that he SAYS that he will communicate with us. If he doesn't communicate, then he should not put that in the 1st post - it should be removed!

I am assured that he's a solid dealer (esp. seeing the number of Kiu sockets there are around). My problem, again, is what he himself stated he would do. You see - you can expect that people will get worried if they expect Kiu to confirm because Kiu himself states that he will and then it doesn't happen. It doesn't matter if he's been awesome for the past 100 years - it's a matter of delivering on what he has promised in the present - not in the past.

I hope people realize that my point is not to say Kiu is not delivering - it is that I believe there is some mis-information in his sales post which could do with some rectifying - separate from his past, present, or future performance.

Just as an update, my Kiu socket arrived yesterday.

And, I never thought that Kiu wouldn't deliver. But I made some changes to my order and didn't know if Kiu received my change, so I was worried whether I was going to get the right part.

That reminds me... I could've been a bit less snarky in my recent commentary, and it was perhaps a bit unfair to expect everyone to know Kiu's level of communication (basically zero... lol). I've been here a long time now, so I'm familiar with the history, which is there for the reading, but it spans over the course of years... so, not everyone's going to go through it all.

What I should've said was simply not to expect a reply, but at 2:30 in the morning after a bunch o' beer, I can be a bit of a wise-ass... hehe.
