Hi,

some Beamshots i made.

I should mention that my SF E1L has a very good binning, and is about 20% brighter than the usual E1L.

Bouth Light´s with Seoul SSC Led´s are not as bright as they could be, but have a good brightness/runtime relation. And they have a better spill than what it´s shown on the Pic´s.

Distance to the hut/sack/hovel (not sure about translation) is about 12 meters.

The Pic´s:

Novatac EDC 120P with 3,0V CR123 on Max.

nice beamshots!

that ti-pd has a nice tint.

the funny thing is your beamshots remind me of another german cpf'rs beamshots.

Kiessling used to do beamshots like this, from a higher position to a far off shed. you germans must think alike;)

oh man, i searched for his threads but the pics are now missing, but the resemblence is uncanny.

what is the configuration of your ti-pd? Looks to be on par with the EDC 120P for output and kicks its but for color rendition. So what emitter, board, current etc for the PD?

Great beamshots! The Novatac is more cool white, whereas Gizmo is more warm... I like 'em both! These beamshots are much more useful than silly 'white wall shots'! :tinfoil:

I bought the PD used and don´t have all that Info. But i will try to find out.

And as i found out, it´s not a good idea to make beamshots that way.

after a discuss on a german Board i found out whats wrong with my Pic´s.
My first Beamshots where a bit underexposed because i dont want the reflections from the fine Rain in the Pics. Second mistake was to shot from the first story. That is the reason there is no spill on the pic´s.

I decided to make some more Beamshots.

First where taken indoors, about 8yard´s to the Wall.
I was using my Panasonic FZ-30 Manual settings, aperture 8, time 2.5sec.

Thouse Pic´s will tell more about the real output, than the first one.
You can also see the difference between the primary and the rechargeable Cells used in the E1L.

Sorry that the first pic´s where not as helpfull as i want them.

The second set speaks a whole lot more accuracy as I knew the E1L is a tight little beam with not much side spill yet it looked almost like the Novatac which has a fairly good throw and spot but tons of spill. Thanks for the pics and the second set seems much more accurate. Just curious what the slanted wall is in the second set of pics?

Outdoor Beamshots.

Distance to the Wall (with Palm) about 18 yards, to the first Wall (with gutter downspout) about 3.5 yards.

Again using my Panasonic FZ-30 with Manual settings, aperture 8, time 2.5sec.

Very useful post - thanks Alex

The warmish tint on my TiPD-S's adds almost as much value as the "do it all" beam shape and this is well reflected here.
