If only I could buy a GDup to screw into my mule.
Have they been appearing from time to time and I just don't see it within the few seconds they take to sell, or are they all done?

Plans were to have a small batch ready end of this week. That's now looking mid next week and batches to follow after that.

That's good info, Wayne. Will start counting my coins.

So what else I should order, other than the GDuP itself, to make a complete head to fit on the E2e body?
Thanks
Anthony
VENI, COLLUXI, VICI.
Anthony-
The two Aleph (E-Series) heads that the Shoppe has in right now are the Mule and an A19. However, they don't have empty Mule heads, so if you buy the Aleph 19 Head Kit-Black (also comes in Bare Al and Natural), it comes with everything you need (Head, reflector, lens, bezel ring, and o-ring) except the LE.Just make sure your body has an O-ring, as the A19 head kit obviously doesn't come with a tube o-ring.

John, thank you for answering on this thread, too.
as soon Wayne has the GDup I'll get the kit you suggested (in natural HA), and hopefully I'll make the EDC of my dreams...

Will these be available for DIY anytime soon?
Im dying to upgrade some of my lights with it.

Does the Gdup have reverse polarity protection?
Well that is me out, starting a new job monday.Might catch the next batch![]()
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.
That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have
their shoes.
I am still new to this so I need some help. Can someone help me understand the calibration routine? What does it do and why would one have to execute it more than once? Thanks.
They are up!! I just ordered one.![]()
I got one too. Boy did they go fast!![]()
Darn! I checked the site all day, then went to bed and missed them! Hope the next batch is out soon! My Mule remains incomplete....![]()
"However vast the darkness, we must supply our own light." -- Stanley Kubrick
I have found the shop nothing but a huge frustration. I've been checking everyday several times a day for a week (i even stayed up till midnight several times) and now they go up the one night I got to bed early.
I ordered a light and got the wrong one and after several e-mails back and forth I still have none of my questions answered and still have the wrong light. At this point I've just decided to keep it.
I'm so ticked off I can't even think of what else to say.

Just because there is only one set of foot prints in the sand doesn't mean your walking alone!
Ah man, I have been checking for the Shoppe website all the time for more GDuP to show up and missed them anyway!Well, how long of a wait this time before I have to camp out at the Shoppe???
The remaining batch will go online sometime tomorrow.
If you miss the next batch there will always be production units before end of March. (sooner I hope).
Wayne
Ah well try again in march![]()

Nice work Wayne..

Anybody want to answer my calibration question please?
I asked the same question earlier in this thread.

Thank you. I must have missed it somehow. I read this post back and forth so many times.
So then it seems that maybe it needs to be done only once. Then if the emitter gets changed then it needs to be done again.
Thanks again
No, the calibration is calculating what cold startup Vf is needed to reach the target current in the LED. The battery input voltage does not effect this calculation.
When the GDuP is running its job is to drive the emitter with the correct voltage to keep the LED current constant. It does this independently of the battery voltage. It is constantly following the changing parameters of the LED as it heats up.
The only reason you would need to re-run the calibration is if you replaced the emitter or if after hundreds of hours of use the emitter had changed its Vf. However, even if the Vf changed the uP is still seeking the same drive current, only its initial values will be off. So in this scenario the old emitter would come on a little brighter and quickly the uP would sense that and adjust its drive voltage to hit the desired current.
Cheers
Dave

Thanks Dave.
Yes, thanks for the explanation.
