Also, would it be better bang for my buck to get the red 2D M@glite, WA1185 bulb, brass or SS bi-pin socket, and the 6AA to 2D holder and get this head or try to live with the basic M@glite and have a plain jane M@g85 with fivemega's boro lense and reflector he sells. Will this head really make that WA1185 bulb standout? I know some of you have had the original mod, please compare this head to the "regular" M@g85.

The "Red Head" matches a red C that I have pretty well. I have not had time to get a red D yet.

FYI the lights I am assembling now (Red and Black) are made up of:
3D cell host
AW's - Mag D Incan Driver - Soft Start & Multi-Brightness switch drop in
WA1185
FiveMega's - 9AA to 3D
FiveMega's - FM3V-2 Turbo head

With just these parts you get an impressive light with just minutes of assembly time. These guys generate top notch hardware and provide excellent service.

Scott, I assume that you mean "match" as in color. In that case, no it will not match the pewter. But it won't look bad either. Kirk
