This is Part 2 of the Milkyspit Mods, Thoughts, Eye Candy thread. Part 1 is over here.

img-gotham-010-sm-gotham6.jpg

Quote from first post in original thread:

The Reason.

Recently I've gotten some inquiries about what sorts of mods I do... and it's difficult to answer because the range is pretty broad! I'm hoping this thread will serve a little bit as a notebook of sorts, logging some new builds and ideas, showing some of the more interesting photos, and generally letting folks get a taste of my work.

Some Introductory Photos!

Here is a small collection of some of the more interesting things I've built, along with annotations... I'll keep the descriptions very terse for now but welcome inquiries. BTW, if you want ANYTHING built, give me a shout! As good friend Knight Lights is fond of saying, anything is possible... the impossible just takes longer! ;)

On to the show! Hee hee. :p

Unforgiven, thanks for the continuation! Hope I didn't cause you any grief in posting the new thread.

If I can help a bit by posting the continuation thread myself next time one of mine is in such a position, please let me know, I'd be glad to handle that if it might make your work a bit easier. You guys do a lot to keep CPF a nice place for all to visit!

Thanks again, much appreciated.

How To Contact Milkyspit!

In general, a PM on CPF is a good way to reach me, though there are occasions when this won't work... perhaps PM Inbox is full, perhaps CPF is having a hiccup...

If you can't get a PM sent on CPF, you might want to send one to me on CPF Marketplace. I monitor both.

Or you could send me an email... I suggest you put the word 'CPF' somewhere in the subject line to make it easier for me to separate your email from all the spam...

img-email-milky-quarryrun-com.gif

Regarding phone calls: I don't provide my phone number publicly but if you're unable to reach me by the above means, you might want to get my phone number from a fellow CPFer, there are several who know how to reach me. Or have them call me, give them a way I can get back to you (phone number and/or email address), and I'll get in touch as soon as I can. Sometimes a call is the best approach, though in many cases I would encourage you to try PM and/or email first.

If all else fails, post in this thread that you're trying to reach me. No need for details posted here, but at least I'll know I need to reach out to you!

Note: I do use Skype, which is potentially a useful way of doing a text chat... and I can call from Skype on my computer to a phone number pretty much anywhere in the world, so providing me with YOUR phone number would enable me to call YOU. Again, the above means of contact are probably preferable, but if it comes to it, this might be yet another way!

Hope this helps a bit.

Some lingering posts from the Part I thread...

Hey Scott. Just wondering if you have any news on my KT4 head build. I sent you a PM, but I'm sure its buried in the sea that is your inbox. Hit me back when you get half a chance. I appreciate it.
Seth

Seth, got your PM and yes, it's been buried, though not too deeply. I'm in PM-clearing mode right now and will be in touch shortly. No problems so far, build is doing nicely though not quite finished.

Hi Scott, I sent you a PM and copied it to you in an email just in case, regarding some work I would like to have done. I can send the light out as soon as you're ready for it. Hope to hear from you soon.
Thanks,
John

John, got it, thanks. Sounds like I'll be able to help, will send over details ASAP.

Scott,
Just wanted to check on the status of my two mods. Send me a pm when you get the chance.
Joe

Joe, will do! I need to fit a heatsink to the 'crazy monster' build, then that one should be smooth sailing the rest of the way. As for the 876 build, kinda the opposite situation... I've got the heatsink ready to go but need to open the head so it can all get installed properly.

Hey Scott - sent you a pm inquiring about a potential 7-Cree mod (sub-1D)? You're probably busy but was wondering if this was a possibility...thanks!

Mcmc, saw your PM and will be replying to it... in the meantime, YES! that's a very workable build, and I think we can do that.

Scott,

I'm sure you probably have a few mods already lying around without any
owners. I say have a MILKY SALE on BST.
It would be hard for many here at CPF to pass up on a mod thats already complete and ready to ship :)

Just a thought .

Great Idea! I've even seen other custom builders (i.e. McGizmo, Mr. Bulk) do similar things in the past.

I know I'd be very interested in some of those offerings I've seen lying around the labs!! :nana:

Okay Ray, I'm dipping my toe in the water. Just posted an HD45 that I kicked up a notch or so with an XWOS emitter plus some other small touches. You'll find the thread over here.

Thanks for the idea!

I've been telling Scott to do the same, I'm sure he'll do it sooner or later ;)

Some Inaugural Eye Candy

To kickoff this Eye Candy Part II thread, here area few tidbits...

Had a small flurry of HDS upgrades come through the Labs recently, couldn't resist snapping a quick photo... after all, it isn't everyday that one has this many HDS lights in front of them! :naughty:

hds-soma-4-up.jpg

A Longbow Micra with PR-style head and a custom light module with Seoul SSCP4 USWOH emitter... this one definitely follows the KISS principle as it's single brightness and twist on/off, but ergonomics are great and the thing is pocketable(!)... a real pocket rocket! One of my alltime favorites.

longbow-micra-pr-head.jpg

A look into the head of an HD45 that I upgraded with Lux5 XWOS emitter... it's neat how the camera was able to pickup a good portion of the emitter die's reflection on the orange peel...

Hey Scott,

I received my two lights today! ML-1 and ML-1x

Excellent quality and I've had a little play with them tonight - They are awesome! Will do a review of them when I get the time.

I've emailed you as I've got two more L-1s needing to be 'transformed'!

Hope to hear from you soon about that,

Nick

Hi there Milky. Just wanted to let you know I'm still in for the ML1s. In case my PM is buried somewhere in there or if you've forgotten.
