    Default Wolf-Eyes 13 Volt Impressions

1st of all, this ass kissing post should be in Cheers & Jeers, but I'm not gunna do it 'cause most Wolf-Eyes fans will never see it. I've been lurking for so long, I don't know any different, so be patient. The 13V Wolf-Eyes Rattlesnake with the M100 head and bulb be the shiznit. I understand that the 12V bulb is being overdriven with 3 X 18650's @ 3.6V each. Who care's. Beam is white. Spill will light up the room. Hot spot kicks ass. I've used this configuration for over a week. Mostly short off & on. The service from Pacific Tactical Solutions has been excellent. I did order a 3.7v to 13v LED module that only lasted 6 seconds. Mike @ PTS PM'ed me today that I could recieve a new LED module without having to return my original unit. The recent modules have been seen to be defective, so Mike offered to replace my unit in a week when they are back in stock. To avoid any delay on my part, he offered to ship me a 1 mode luxeon module now. Wow, that kind of customer service is way beyond the call of duty, thanks Mike.

I was unaware that Wolf Eyes makes a 13V lamp for its M100, a turbohead. Did you mean to write M90? I worship flood; for this reason, the M90 with a 13V lamp is my favorite Wolf Eyes head. Right now, my extended M90 has a Lumens Factory 700-lumen lamp in it. But that's just my testosterone talking; Fall is coming, and I think I'll put in something useful: The W-E 13V.

Be careful driving the W-E 12V with three 18650s. I tried driving mine with three 168A cells, and it burned out after 2.5 hours.
My lights, all AA, neutral or warm: 3 Fenix TK20s; 2 Malkoff M30WFs; 2 Shiningbeam Romisens (5A); Dereelight XP-G R5 (close enough); UK 4AA incan.

Paul, I meant to refer to the 12v bulb with M100 head, M90 body and 168 extender. I did read your previous posts on the short life of the bulb in this configuration. This 12v bulb was a free gift from Lighthound when I ordered the M100 head ($29.95). Had to try it. Saving the 700 lumen experience for later. Mike @ PTS is forcing me to buy things (I hate him).

I'm currently running an EO-13v in my new Rattlesnake + 168 extender. What a great light. Throws really far an I don't think it can get any whiter. They lads at work sounded more like giddy school girls than men
    LED's impress but Incans satisfy
