35w HID bulbs

hey everyone!

ok im getting these HID bulbs soon and their rated a 35w and 12v
but my ballast is 12v and 5 amps so do i need to use a regulator or a big resistor to regulate that?

how can i power that bulb?

Is your application for automotive use ? a 12 V ballast from Hella or Philips for example will need 12V input voltage. It will surge that voltage I believe to 23,000V for startup and initial current flow will be around 15 amps, coming off to around 2.5 amps when the arc has stabilized. We need to know what brand/type of bulb and ballast you have.

its a type of HID Xenon bulb...

and yes the purpose of it was for automotive use.
