Gaucho knot beads and paracord lanyard...

It's been a little while. Here's a few from me.
6 cord braid dog lead. I need to practice this braid some more to get it even. I'm also going to learn the 8 cord braid for an even bigger size.
A new Ti spike for knot work
King cobra on stainless

please suggest a nice knot for thin (about 1.5mm) kid leather cord which I try to use for flashlight lanyard.
The first attempt looks not bad but looks simplistic to my taste (I simply counldn't find any nice knots in goodle):

Great pics and ideas, thanks for sharing.
That looks good to me. You could also try the snake knot, here's a how to tie link http://www.stellaceleste.com/htm/knots/snakeknot.htm
Just tried this one for the first time using one of stormdranes youtube videos.

Where do most of you purchase your paracord from??
Can't speak for others, but I get mine from a nearby Army / Navy Surplus store.

Maglite wrap and monkey fists. My first attempts

I have ran into a problem while making a dog leash. I started from the clip end (That attaches to the dog collar) and now I am at the handle and cant figure out how I am supposed to do it. I did the cobra weave. I didnt realize in the youtube video I watched that he started at the handle end and not the "clip" end.
Any info would be appreciated so I can get this project done asap.
Thanks!
I've gotten paracord from ebay and lighthound. $0.10-$0.15 /ft.
Make the loop for the handle. Somehow force the two core inner cords through the cobra weave of the leash. Then contine weaving the cobra over the first cobra for a couple or so inches. Kinda like splicing the two and then doubling over to make it hold.
Hope that helps, and let us know how you get on?
Here's a video tutorial for tying a Gaucho knot, shown tied with paracord. I've used these knots for making beads for lanyards/fobs, but as with other Turk's head knot variations, you can tie them on/around all kinds of things, like flashlights...
Nice vid!![]()

I saw a picture on Ebay of something similar and thought I would try my hand at it. It's called a Cobra Knot. Found a video online that really helped. The over/under part was tricky at first, but I have the hang of it now. For the picture Adjusting the saturation and contrast on my camera phone worked really well.
