If you look at the different Surefires that are being sold form the civilan market you will only find SFs that either Black or HA.

And if you take a look at the list of Surefires with NSN you will see in the description that there are several in OD HA.

So now my question, where can I buy SFs in HA OD? All I could find is a tailcap in OD...

Strange... The original tailcap on my E2L looks like OD (darker than the ano of the body and greenish). The two replacements I received are of a lighter gray than the body. Maybe it's variation in the anoziding process... ;)

E2L description from SF website: Rugged aerospace-grade aluminum body, Mil-Spec Type III hard anodized in olive drab

Here a picture of 3 Z57 tailcap I have and of my E2L. On the bottom, original Z57, on top, 1st replacement and on the E2L itself, 2nd replacement.

Like I said, the olive drab effect is probably caused by darker anodizing and since there are much variations between all the parts of a unique flashlight... ;)

Take a look at the picture of the E2L there: http://www.surefire.com/maxexp/main/co_disp/displ/prrfnbr/24205/sesent/00

4 different tints on the same flashlight.

It's my understanding that natural HA color ranges from greenish to dark gray. I thought Surefire mostly just produces natural HA and black HA. I think the way lights are described is confusing people. The actual color you get (gray to green) is the luck of the draw. I sure wish they did more lights in BLACK HA!

not far enough away
When surefire first started the HA is looked more brownish or OD than the HA grey color of today. Many people think of OD as a tacticool color so maybe that is why the put it.
