Hi !
Just got my upgraded classic SPY005 back from the Shoppe ... and WOW !
Absoluitely worth it. Smooth level scrolling, bright ... and perfect beam. And, also very important, switch no longer disengaging without batteries.

The upgrade rocks!

P.S.: about all those Easter Eggs ... never tried them. But the start-up "blink" is nice upon inserting new batts.

AND: all the levels are user-adjustable!
AND: Low can be adjusted all ther way down to about one photon!
AND: the beam is simply gorgeous!

I concur with Bernie: WOW!

Hey! :nana:
We're fighting to reduce the stiky load in Don's place, not the other way round :D

Thanx for that sticky!

It is normal that when performing a power up 0 the light fhlashes a second?

Yes that is normal, it is telling you that it has powered up the CPU, read the EEPROM, initialized the system and then gone to sleep.

I should make a note of that in another sticky thread. :tinfoil:

So... all I have to remember is to change abtteries at the off or 6 position ... and if I or someone else messes up my UI ... power up 3.
I think I might be able to manage that. Maybe. Eventually. :p

Is there a way to block all options and lock it in the current state? For dumb KISS users? :)

When changing batteries always use power-up-0. However, no matter what power up mode you go into if you see the light is flashing, simply turn the switch off. It will not modify any user levels if you do this.

There is no way to lock out the 1 to 6 power up states. Anytime you want to it is OK to reset the light to factory settings. Just perform a power-up-3 (so long as you have fresh batteries). It is automated and simple.

Your tritium installation job was first rate!

Thanks! Who says radioactive isotopes aren't any fun? :twothumbs :green: :poof:

It was the first time I've used the Norland 61 adhesive. I've got another job curing (sunbathing) right now... some TB sweetness! :naughty: And I've already got the Trit picked out for the SPY007..
