Garrity Tuff Lite 4D Lantern / LED drop-in ?

Can i use a regular LED PR drop-in bulb or will i need the special reverse polarity "EverLED Diamond" bulb in this lantern: http://www.garritylites.com/page98.html

FYI, most battery carriers will allow you to put the batteries in backwards (reverse the polarity). Just a thought.

Thanks, I've heard about that before, but I'm specifically asking about the bulb polarity with this particular lantern flashlight.
