I have an Optotronics PPL 200mW green whose divergence seems to be going out of spec. At 30 feet or so, the beam is already about about 5-6mm wide, while my dr_lava/aixiz module red laser at the same distance is perhaps 3mm -- and that one starts out thicker to begin with.
I disassembled it as far as I could by hand, and I got down to the open chamber inside the heatsink, where the interior walls are bare aluminum. In here is a red-reflective lens which appears locked down with a dab of white epoxy or somesuch... I didn't want to go any further without knowing what I was dealing with. Is that where the adjustment is, or is it further in?
