Velleman K8071 driver - Any good ?

Hi Guys

Just curious as to whether anyone has tried the above ?

Haven't actually tried it yet, but it was easy to build.

Its short on listed specs, but seems to be a 'no-frills' ~12V AC/DC 4/6W Driver.

The complete circuit diagram is in the docs, so if any real expert could weigh in... much appreciated!

It works as advertised. Easy to build, cheap. No problems found.

how many 1 watt or 3 watt LEDs can you load on there for max load?

It claims 4x 1 Watt LEDs (with no voltage spec listed -- LEDs are in SERIES) OR
2x 3 Watt LEDs instead of the 1 Watt ones. Current Controlled.

I've actually found some pre-assembled kits that are nearly as cheap anyways.

Still not many support dimming... :ironic: (the K8071 is no exception either, it might be modded in however.)
