    Default TW4 Milky Speedster

I just got this back from Milkyspit today. He did such a wonderful job! I was literally speechless when I turned on this light. This was an original TW4...and now I feel like it has been given a whole new life.

The beam is a very wide wall-of-light beam, with a large hotspot that blends beautifully into the wider beam. It's very white and has decent throw. I don't have any other KLx heads to compare it too...but it holds its own pretty well when up against the BOG Q5 drop-ins. Of course, the BOG is brighter and has a tighter hotspot.

    The stats:
    • Surefire KL4 head with Seoul SSCP4 emitter
    • MM+ Driver (MadMax Plus boost circuit)
    • 165 lumen on primaries, 180 lumen with RCR123s
    • 1 hour peak brightness, dimmer light for few more hours
    • 1xCR123, RCR123 Friendly

The total amount of money invested in this tiny light? Roughly $325 (E1e + KL4 + Milky Mod)
The look on someone's face when I light up a whole room with this TINY light? Priceless!

    Thanks again, Milkyspit!

    And now some pictures:

I love little lights that can play with ones twice there size! Plus I love the look on people's faces - like you said!

Sorry for the probably dumb question, but what does "MM+" stand for?

Actually, I don't know. That was what Milkyspit told me the name of the driver was. The other option would have been to go with an Acorn driver, but that would require me to run this with rechargeables...

Dang it! Now I have one more thing on my "to do" list. My TW4 has not seen any love since the Seoul/Cree revolution.

This will easily move your TW4 back up to EDC status! Tell Milky that I sent ya! haha.

TTran, that's your first-ever CPF beamshot?

    Glad you like your light!

BTW, MM+ stands for MadMax Plus, a Sandwich Shop boost circuit ideally suited for single cell use, with high brightness for about an hour followed by at least a few more hours of dimming output... I like it in this sort of light because by its nature it won't suddenly leave you in the dark, and runs well even on near-dead cells. It runs happily on a primary cell and can handle the occasional rechargeable, too.
