lansky mini crook stick pocket sharpener, you cant go wrong as long as its not too blunt. just keep swiping it through, i find it gives a good all round edge.
they cost about $8! i also use mine to sharpen all the kitchen knives.

the steel on you knife is most likely S30V, a very hard steel made just for knives. Usually it takes diamond and ceramic sharpener to sharpen this steel. I sharpen free hand but it has taken many years to perfect this art, most people like the spyderco sharpmaker or some other type of guided sharpener. I vote no to the sharpener suggested

Spyderco Sharpmaker should work fine.

yeah I mean the sharpmaker has set angles of 30 or 40 degrees, but you could aslo place the rods on the bottom of the case and use it like a benchstone if you wanted a different angle...

I'll second that, I sharpen my AR on the diamond rods set at 40 degrees. works great.
