Re: Mini -HID's

Mac is the fivemega battery holder the one with the built in charging port like the ones here :-

https://www.candlepowerforums.com/threads/173143

Do these have a warm up period like other HID lights like the Boxer?

Yes these will have the charging ports as pictured. These do have a 10-15 second warm up period but unlike the Microfire and Wolf-Eyes lights these have high quality ballasts. I have made close to 100 of these in the past 2 years and have not seen one ballast failure. (Knock on wood :))

Re: Mini -HID's

I do not have a runtime chart. The current draw of the ballast is 1.0 amp.

17670 cells are rated at 1600mah so runtime should be around 1.5 hours.

Re: Mini -HID's

I'll take one

Thanks for the PM, could you confirm which blue the mini-hid one you did before that was finned was? I'll take that blue (whether its light or dark) :D

Also, could mine have the HID bulb intact, I have seen some people remove the protective cover, I'd prefer it as pictured.
Cheers

I have only worked with the regular "Electric Blue" the light blue host I have available is the first.

Re: Mini -HID's

Interested....Can these be run using 123 lithium cells? If so what kind of run-times can be expected?

Yes I could make any of these into Mini Mini - HID's. That would make the light 1.3" shorter and knock the runtime down to 30-40 minutes.
