Are there voltage regulation concerns that I should be aware of? I am assuming that the regulated BOG replacement would handle voltage-related issues...

Unfortunately the BOG drop-in won't run regulated with a single li-ion rechargeable battery as far as I can tell. The BOG's input voltage is listed as 4.5-9v, which a single 17670 can't supply since it's more or less limited to 3.7v. The light should be dimmer as a result compared to running on primaries or 2 rechargeables. Can anyone who's tried this confirm?

I've heard that as well, but I can't confirm it, as I don't have one. The only module I've come across personally that is regulated on one 3.7v cell is DX #1343.

If you want regulated with a single 17670 I'd say you have either a wolf-eyes or the Dereelight drop in modules.

I have some of the first Wolf-Eyes modules and they are very well made and fit in surefire or wolfeyes bodies very well.

I decided I wanted a brighter module with a Q5 in it. I have just ordered the Dereelight 1S module driven at 1.2A and fully regulated on a single 17670 or 18650. Should be very bright.

Any idea how long this setup will run? I'm contemplating this for a Z2 setup, the 1.2 A module + 17670...

Anyway, should probably last longer than the Wolf-Eyes on 2xRCR123s, right?

I don't have a 17670, so I took one of my 3.6 volt RCR123's out of mine and used a screwdriver to close the contact and it is about 30% dimmer and it flickers. :shakehead

Well Dereelight say the S1 driven at 1.2A runs for for 90mins with a 18650.

Considering a 17670 is just over 2/3 the capacity of a 18650 I would guess just over an hour.

Not sure about the WE and 2xRCR123s. The WE drop ins I have are both 3.7-6v so they only get used with 18650 or 17670.

The upcoming WE HO D26 is rated at 3.7-13V and should work with either 17670s, or RCR123s.
