I'm getting a Streamlight Propoly Lux 1. What would be the best non-rechargeable AA batteries to use. Thanks for the help.

Great torch! It's very well regulated and will run great with any brand.

Best non-rechargeable to use is the Energizer E2 Lithiums. A pack of 8 will run you about $19, however.

I use Sanyo Eneloops in mine. Great runtime, rechargeable, and holds a full charge for months.

I have the SL PP Lux in the car,
but haven't really seen any talk about running liths vs alk ?
Maybe the liths would last longer, even in cold (it's 15 outside right now),
but I was concerned about the Energizer L91 1.7v vs alk 1.5v ?

Hello Roymail --

The Maha C-9000 Battery Charger/Analyzer
will spoil you for ever using anything else. :)

And you will be very happy with Sanyo Eneloops. :twothumbs

To answer yer' original question, (Primary cells) --

Energizer Lithium AA's (L91) are a great choice for extreme cold temps.
Sam's Club has 'em at 12 for $20.

Just took my Streamlight ProPoly 4AA Luxeon out a couple nights ago.

Ya' know, for being such old and ancient technology,
it sure is a splendid performer !

You won't be disappointed.

I've been using the Maha powerex 2700 (5 year warranty) batteries for a long time now, great batteries. If you're ordering a Maha C-9000 charger already. I have left these sitting for 3 weeks and they still test at 2300 mah. If you use your Pro-poly fairly often, these are great.
