Hi All,
I'm curious if I can use rechargeables in my Gladius? If so any ideas where to buy good quality rechargeables and charger? Any downside to using rechargeables?
Thanks,
Joe

Word is that is a BAD idea as it could fry the circuit (2 x 4.2volts of charger= 8.4 volts and that's too much). But I think you can run an 18500 or 17670 which is the same size as 2 CR123's together but only 4.2 volts. You'll get low battery warnings I think but it works fine otherwise.

I've used 3.7v RCR123a batteries in my Gladius for over a year without any problems. It worked fine with the original LED, and also after it was "supercharged" by Strategos.

I didn't know better. I guess I was lucky.

The only noticeable difference is that the light doesn't blink when the batteries are low. It just goes out without warning.

I've also never heard an unconditional "affirmative" or "negative" on the question of either LiFePo4 cells, or the 3.0v ic RCR123s. Can anyone confirm that the light functions on 2x of either of these cells? You would make my day.:candle:

Thanks,
-Winston
