Apologies in advance.

I read through a few posts regarding this but I really need a firm confirmation.

Can I use rechargeable RCR123A 3.7 volts in a Surefire G2 LED?

Has anyone here have actually used this configuration? Rather than just "I read it somewhere" or "I heard someone say" or "I used a 3.0 volt rechargeables"?

I am thinking of 3.7 volts in particular. I appreciate any input.

BTW, I saw these being sold at a local Lowe's that's why I ask. I may go get one but won't use expensive primary CR123A.

Thanks.

I checked my G3L, and with two cells got 390 mA, and three cells 260 mA. Took out the primary cells and will be running it on 2x17500's from now on. I'm retiring the old Pelican M3 which has served me well with guilt free lumens for many a night's walk.

I got a 6PL instead. Runs just fine with AW's RCR123A at 3.7 volts.

I know the P60L will run just fine off of 9 volts, and I think even up to 12 volts. I don't know if the newer versions with the enclosed heads will, but I'd be VERY surprised if they do not.
