I can't tell you how it was done. The maker, GanP, described it as follows:

Brass 'latice' body - deep etched and patinated..

The head and tail are TiN, from Don.

The color match is good enough for me, and as soon as I can get a GDuP in it, it'll be done.

That is really unique. The etching definitely stands out from the fine machining that we are accustomed to seeing. Nice work !

Now thats what Im talking about!!! A decent combo for that piece of art Ganp body... Send them over, Ill give that head and tail a nice polish to match :devil:

Can a TiN finish be polished without removing the finish?

I'm already working on masking the etched brass segments, so I can shine up the raised ridges.
