I took a home computer out of service last year and meant to use the UPS for other things, but I realized lately that I had forgotten to get it plugged back in and at least used as a surge protector for various desktop electronics.

Since it has been unplugged from any wall current for so long, does anyone think it has been damaged (I've heard of battery sulphation and such, but don't know a lot yet about electronics) or should not be returned to normal use for any reason?

Thanks much

Hello Stu,

Any damage that has been done by sitting for 6 months is probably minor. You should be good to go with perhaps only a slight loss in capacity.
