Just some pictures, i think these answer most possible questions. Weight was no arguement, the light has to be solid as a brick for heavy wood rampage.
The Microfire itself was completely left untouched, it can be rebuild to original state within 2 minutes.
I use a lipoly battery pack with 11,1 V and 10 Ah capacity in the saddle bag, which results in about 200 minutes possible use time.
The green led in the plug turns from green to yellow at 50% capacity and from yellow to red at under 10% capacity.
I integrated a small electronic board against deep discharge in the battery as well.
Some pics at the beginning:
Yeah, it works! :twothumbs
A solid mount is necessary!
Finally:
Some beamshots (F4, 2 sec, ISO 200), the tree on the right is 18 meters away, the tree with the reflecting sign ist about 55 meters away.
Flood:
Spot:
I'm very happy with it, its very solid and takes even higher jumps without trouble. That is very important for me since i want to use it on my freeride bike as well.
For uphill touring and for illuminating the first 5-10 meters in front of me, I use two Fenix L2D Q5 but these are not really necessary when running the Microfire. :candle:
