All in all I'm pleased how well all these worked out, the new P7's are INSANELY bright.

I like that carbon-fiber filler in your M@g window. What did you craft that from, how did you cut it so perfectly, what is the thickness?

Thanks.

Nice mods! Do you know what current the P7 is being driven at? It holds it own pretty well against those r2's which is pretty amazing. I can't wait till I get mine from Litemania.

That was my take on it, it's almost as bright with a beautiful spot to flood (really lights up a room). Still throws pretty well, I wish I could get a smooth reflector to try with it. The beamshots were taken when it was still direct drive off an 18650, so I'm guesstimating about 3 amps.

Sitting on a table it gets pretty warm, but in actual use I've had no issues or tint shifting (I mounted the P7 on a old SSC star and AA'd that to the heatsink). Doing a run time test I got about an hour of very bright light then usable light for at least another hour and a half.

How are you liking those Kai "D" lithiums? Are they the protected verity? I just haven't seen too much info on these, and may consider these in my next build.
