charging batteries in holder?

OK i have two five mega holders that hold three 17670's a Charger to charge them up while in the holders but the holders are made of brass.I have some magnets that i was going to attach my alligator clips to but they don't hold real well to the holders.AM I MISSING SOMETHING?
