    Default (CLOSED) 1D 4AA M*g By FIVEMEGA

    C L O S E D

    Hi folks,
    Here is 3rd run of 4AA in 1D M*g
Finally the brightest 1D rechargeable flashlight is ready to ship.
Body is shortened to 1D and inside bored out to accept 4 AAs of any kind and any capacity. Tail cap is recessed for minimal possible length.
Head is fine finned for better heat dissipation. Completly deanodized, polished and hard anodized in several colors and electroless nickel plated.
Battery holder designed to accept 4AAs (cunsumer or flat top) which are slightly gapped to avoid shortage in case battery cover is torn. It has extended charging jack to recharge when tail cap is removed. You can also recharge the pack out of flashlight or simply remove batteries to recharge individualy. This battery holder has very low resistance and capable of high drain bulbs. Center pin of charging jack is positive and I will include a male charging jack too.
Bulb options: Axial fillament potted 4 volt, 3.5A halogen or potted WA1319
I recommend to use axial 4 volt for maximum brightness or WA1319 for decent run time.
This flashlight comes with stock reflector, lens and krypton bulb. It is highly recommended to use aluminum reflector and boro lens when using high power bulbs.
Using 4 volt axial bulb will out throw stock MC with much nicer beam shape due to it's axial (vertical) short fillament.
You cal also use Terralux drop in LEDs and power them with 3AA battery holder or use Malkoff drop in with 4AA battery holder. Purple one in picture has quad Malkoff and does NOT come with flashlight but give you some idea of possiblities.
Price: 1D M*g without battery holder $80 (NO MORE AVAILABLE)
4AA battery holder $38 (no batteries included) (No More AVAILABLE)
3AA battery holder $34 (no batteries included)
Potted 4 volt halogen axial bulb $12
Bi pin 4 volt halogen axial bulb $10
    Potted WA1319 $9
MOP Dual function reflector $25 each
    Boro lens $5.50
Shipping $8 for 1 set and $10 for 2 sets in States.
    Shipping $14 for international destination.
    Paypal: DO NOT PAY
Please PM for alternate payment method.

Recessed tail cap allows to accomodate 3~4mm longer cell than standard "D" (64mm Max. length)

    Hi Fivemega,
Will this work with any 1D mag? I already have one and this is just what I need. If so I'll take one.

Is then 1D 4AA M*g By FIVEMEGA shorter the the 1D 3AA M*g By FIVEMEGA I measured mine and its 74mm at it longest point. Is there anyway to charge 4 14500 Lio-Ion cell in the holder, I have a BC but dont think it will charge these cells.

3AA and 4AA to 1D battery holders are same length. 3AA will fit in bored and unbored bodies but 4AA will only fit in bored out bodies.
Charging tower and nipple are excluded from my measurement.
Possible to use 4x14500 (14.8 volt) batteries and if your charger is capable, recharge them in series.

Just wanted to know how does the 1D mag with potted Halogen Axial will fair up against your 3x18500 EO13L? I just received the red one I bought from you and its pretty bright at 700lm.
These 1D flashlights might not be as bright as 3x18500 but advantage of these flashlight are:
    1- possiblity of using Eneloopes
2- Possiblity of using several different bulbs or LEDs
3- Possiblity of using SMO, LOP, MOP and...
    4- Possiblity of using 2" reflector, 2" deep reflector, 2.5", 3" and...

For the brightest set up, (the potted axial 4 volt?) how many lumens is the output?

I'm interested, in the 1D 4AA, but not sure what to use for the light engine.

Want to know what options to add, then PayPal will go out immediately.

Is it possible to use AW's D cell Incan driver with this?

I'm VERY interested in one of your 1D mags but I'm unfamiliar with the 2 bulbs for this light with 4AA's. Could I get some specs on them such as lumen output and bulb life, volt, etc.
Also, what about using 4 AA Alkalines in an emergency for this?
    Is the clicky switch modified
Man, these are some beautiful looking pieces.
    Thanks
Axial bulb is rated 4 volt, 3.5 amp and don't even think of using alkalines.
    Please check post #25 here.
    Switch is stock M*g.

As I mentioned before, Axial with 4 Eneloopes are excellent set up.
Please check spec for WA1319 here.

AW said that his Incan driver needs minimum 6V to operate. Would 4 Eneloopes work?

    Philips 5761 with 4AA?
You better use 5761 with 6 NiMH batteries in 2D M*g.
