That is a really good angle to look from. Requires no mods, just an add on.

I'd love a nice low profile titanium pocket clip that attaches to the picatinny rail. A few months back I tried to make one from aluminum, but it was just too chunky and didn't work well so into the scrap bin it went.

    Here's my EDC....The 007T
Just updated with a neutral XP-G2, and I'm really liking the increased throw over the XM-L.
I still need to shave the heatsink down just a bit to allow the bezel to screw down completely.

DaFab, you are too much! That is crazy cool. :

Though that pic on the ice 'shroom makes me cringe; I just keep picturing $2500 worth of titanium slipping into the river and washed away.

    Well, Thank you!

The stream was very shallow and the current wasn't fast enough to take away the heavy titanium.
They'da just sunk to the bottom about a foot below...

Wow - that T version looks like a weapon or some surgical instrument. Do you have close ups of the reflector and front view? Did you screw on the extended adaptor to the bezel ring threads? What is the reflector that is used?

    Hello mohanjude,

The custom Turbohead and trit button was made by member Tranquiliybase (TB) for me a few years ago. It completely replaces the stock head and screws into the body.
It was something I wanted to do for a long time and he perfectly executed the description of what I wanted made. I asked for it to be loosely based on the beautiful Aleph Pr-T, but to have the neck match the ribs. The body has 1.5 ribs and so does the turbohead and meet perfectly when screwed together.
An McR27 reflector is used and makes the 007 a real thrower! Unfortunately this particular one is an older model and limited to 1250mA.
I'd love to upgrade to the newer driver and be able to run 3A to an XM-L.
It's hard to imagine the 007 fitting in your hand any better than it already does, but this head makes it do just that....IMO

BTW, I'm really liking your tritium creations! Keep up the good work!

Thank you for the pictures description and encouragement - this is the one I used to call the 'Fatty Head' - amazing concept. Can you imagine 3000ma driver , xpg2 LED and a deep reflector.. It will be throw like a pocket micro HID light.

Despite my warnings and PMs to offending members there are still oversize images on this and preceding pages. When you post an image please remember Rule #3.

Rule #3 If you post an image in your post, please downsize the image to no larger than 800 x 800 pixels.

It's a real pain to have to replace images with links and detracts from the purpose of this thread. If you have posted oversize images do the right thing and resize them otherwise we will have a thread comprised of links, that would be a shame. - Norm

Norm, my photobucket account was set up to automatically resize all downloaded pics to the 800 X 800 max.

Unfortunately, the website will not allow me access to fix these without downloading some update that's caused me problems in the past.
Please feel free to remove or let me know what photo's are oversized so I can remove them. Again, I do know the rules and had my account set up in accordance to them, but photobucket sucks.

Yes it will but will easily fall over. Easiest thing to do is to mount 2 screws on the opposite corners. I am going to come up with a better solution that is a bit more elegant...

If your are going to have the clips manufactured, could you make the part where you attache the screws the same shape & size of the base of the existing cap, then have recessed screws, so you effectively make a new base for the SPY to tailstand on.
    Lot of work though.
Or making a small boot that covers the entire end.

The concept has turned to reality - XPG2 Tripple driven at 3amps on a XML host.

Next project is hopefully a Nichia UV LED light with a custom reflector to cure Norland.

Shh.. I actually have a small thread on the coolfall forum.

First off all credit to zanzan - I got fed up of breaking the led board when trying to trim into fit inside the 007.I modded it but Zanzan helped to make the Tripple LED board - he is a genius at the Tripple mod.

Zanzan made me a xpg2 and nichia boards and Optics to fit. I then made a small copper heat sink and soldered the Tripple LED board to the XML host wires. It will take less than 10 mins to convert it back to XML as nothing is permanently altered. I didn't bother to take pics as I wanted to get on with it as such. When I take it apart again I will stop and take pictures.

Dont forget the driver cuts the amps down - cant override that. Heat does not seem to an issue due to this fallback and the little copper heatsink. At the end of the day the biggest issue to me is this any better than anxml behind a reflector. I think the Tripple nichia 219 is worth driving at 3amps just to get that beautiful tint.
