Tiablo MA1 Getting Brighter?

I don't know if it's my imagination or not but my Tiablo MA1 seems to be a little brighter lately. I'm still using AAA NIMH, after reading some of the sad stories related to the use of 14400's I won't take the chance.

After reading your post I took out mine and switched it on: to my eyes it looks like its old usual self. It has an Energizer Lithium primary in it.
