Default Cateye Triple Shot: Why the frosting??

Well, I picked up a cateye triple shot for a rather good price with the intent to mod with new ssc p4 u2'2 (which are enroute). Since then I have learned the ims20 reflector will work and probably improve upon the ringy cateye optics (but what will it do to beam shape?).

What I'm curious about is if anybody has found a way/source/etc to either replace the front window with a totally non-frosted unit or to defrost the stock unit (that cant be possible)?

    Thanks!

I would not try defrosting... . You can go to any professional advertisement company, if they are doing things from PC/PE/PMMA or similar and ask them to cut something for you .

I suggest, to wait until you will mod your tripleshot with P4 - light output and the beam pattern will change. I don’t think that any additional changes will be necessarily.
