Hallo Der Wichtel
Please could you send me details of how I can order two of your 4 mode drivers.
Could you also confirm how much extra the postage will be to Switzerland.
It looks like a great product by the way, I'm very impressed by the spec.
I too am a newbie with insufficient post count.
Regards

Thanks

Update 2.1.2010:

Unfortunately Deutsche Post has rised up the shipping cost within Europe to 3.40€.
I really don't understand why they are doing this since this would be nearly twice as much as other European countries.... :thumbsdow

Update 28.10.2009:

Since I got some feedback in the past about difficulties in soldering the cables to the LED, I changed those to silicon cables which are more heat resistant and more flexible and therefore easier to solder.

Update 19.10.2009:

- Driver with modes are available

Update 14.08.2009:
- New Drivers available: Smaller, Higher Efficiency, Constant Current

UPDATE 5.1.09

Shipping costs changed to 3€ for europe and 6€ for the rest of the world

UPDATE 9.09.08:

Drivers and dimmers (9€) are available now.

UPDATE 18.08.08:

First batch are all sold.
The next batch will be finished in two weeks.

Furthermore I will offer two versions because I got some replys that setting the voltage is not that easy.

First version will be the version as before with a voltage range up to 10.5V.
For all those who wants to drive one emitter the second version is better suited which has a voltage range up to 4.2V.

Update 7.10.08:

sry but currently no more driver boards are available.
The drivers will be available in one week or so if I can handle the new bigger solder iron for soldering smd parts.

The dimmers are out as well ....

Update 26.10.2008:

Drivers are available again

Well, just wanted to tell you that I am very happy with your P7 driver.
I am using a 2D MAG with H22a P7 heatsink powered with 2 D-size Li-ions as shown here:

I did add a little bit more thermal goo to the missing areas shown above.

I used a Uni-bit to cut open a Litho123 Heavy Stipple reflector because I really dont like the beam you get with a standard MAG plastic reflector.

I am very happy with the results. I am not too good with beam shots and by now everyone has seen "plenty" of P7 beam shots.

Thanks!

you should place the d2dimm after the converter

I tried putting the D2DIM in front of the converter, but couldn't get this to work without some serious flickering at the highest setting. Do you think putting the converter first will do anything to solve this problem? I'd be willing to try it!

I looks like you can get one here:
https://www.candlepowerforums.com/threads/171150
It is the #7 reflector and I like it because it gives a "wall" of light.
Now for "throw" purposes - I guess I like my Q5 Aspherical MAG 1D size Li-ion - but I also like my MAG 1C size Li-ion Cree XR-E Flupic because of its multiple modes.
Geez, I guess you can never have enough lights.
:D

Looks very good.

Where did you get this reflector?
Is it still somewhere available?

Yes you must put that after the driver. Otherwise you will get problems like flickering in your case.

Here is a video of my pwm dimmer

Hi
I am looking at using 3*P7 from 14.4v (four Li-Ion 18650).
Is this driver OK for this? 80% of 14.4 = 11.5v - should leave enough for 3 led.

I think I read somewhere that this driver is a voltage limiter, is that correct?
How do you set the desired current? It would be for a Dive light where I would need to keep good controll of the burn times.

Any more information would be appreciated

Hi Nick,
since I got some questions because of the 3 P7 I will test it.
However I had only the chance to test with 2x P7.
2x P7 are no problem.

I will do some testing with a 30W halogen bulb which should give nearly same conditions as with 3x P7.

Pardon my dumb question as a total electronic noob.
Will I see magic smoke if I drive a single P7 with 4pcs 18650 on your converter.
I wanna shove it up the elephant I just bought from Fivemega
