New Pentagonlight Releases

Looks like Pentagonlight released a new line of lights, the R20 Homelander looks awesome:

I also noticed the new LB2, XB2 and XB3 line, looks like they're regulated incans. Look out Surefire A2!:devil:

One thing that PentagonLight touches on is the fact that Xenon bulbs
have greater throw than LED's. I have always believed that with my
Surefire C2.

When I replaced my 65 lumen P60 xenon drop in with the SF P60L, the LED
drop in was "brighter" especially for lighting up a room but once outside
the xenon had noticeably greater "throw" after 100 ft.

It's nice that PentagonLight confirms this and explains why xenon lights
are still important to the company. I think much "brighter" LED's in the 150
lumen to 200 lumen range is what it takes to equal the throw of a 65
lumen drop in outside.


It's a shame Surefire dropped the C2 and C3 xenon lights, now if you want
that awesome design you will be forced to buy a LED C2 at close to $150
when the dealers run out of the xenon version.

I like PentegonLight as a company and I hope internet dealers like BatteryJunction start to carry them as a whole.

Hmm im liking pentagon...we'll have to see what their like when they come out.

i wonder why CPF memebers dont talk about pentagon that much?

wait, im confused, are u saying that the C2 and C3 incans are being disconinued? its still on surefire's website....im not sure if im reading this clearly....

Why are you confused? If you look at the 08' catalog they are not in there are dealers 1 by 1 are running out of xenon C2 and C3's

Down load the .pdf catalog off the website.

Yea this is strange. They have lifetime warranty just like SF. They make very good torches. I really like there weapons lights.:twothumbs

That R20 does look pretty nice!

There was quite a bit of talk back in 2005 when their first lights came out. I had their PL-L2, which was a bit rough in its workmanship but showed a lot of promise. But since then, their product line mostly stagnated for 2+ years while other brands passed them by. It's nice to see these new products.

I knew Pentagonlight had something up their sleeve. They seem like a reputable company that builds quality lights with lifetime warranties to back them up.

I am definitely picking one up soon!

Couple of reasons....

Their lights tend not to be as bright as their Surefire counterparts. But they do tend to be a bit longer and heavier than their SF counterparts.

The lights have zero aftermarket support, unlike Surefire.

There was a bit of talk regarding the new PentagonLights models awhile back. (I downloaded the PDF catalog about 3 months ago. Can't find the thread though).

I have a black PentagonLights X3 model. (Only available in B&M shops).

It's nicely made. Works well. Wish the checkering was a bit deeper. Not bad, overall.
