Flourecent or led

Was looking at a coleman led lantern the pack away model 4d I think but was also looking at the 15w flourecent model. anybody know which is brighter?
On the back of the led it says 145l but the back of the flouecent says our brightest lamp ever. Any ideas anybody?

the 15watt flourescent is brighter perhaps at 700 or more lumens you can look at a regular 15 watt CCFL tube at stores for lumen output. The light dispersal should be more even than the LED lantern too.

Depends alot on what you want to do with it (don't you hate people who answer questions that way? :green

The CCFL is way brighter, gives very even light dispersion, and you can look directly at the lantern. It is perfect for lighting up a room during a blackout.
The LED excels at small size and lotsa runtime. What I always use for camping.
