My $12 HID Thrower

I bought this huge beast last fall from Meijers on clearance for $12.00.
My friend gave me a set of HID projector headlights from a volvo or something and said I'd put them to better use. I finally did. The Mod from start to finish took about 10 minutes and turned out great.

My cheapest light is also my brightest light :ohgeez:

wow, that is a TON of bang for the buck. cute.

I don't know diddley squat about HID...don't they need high voltage to function?

Looks like it's using the 4300K bulb? Don't see a hint of "6000K blue"? Nice, cheap mod!

Good having that small room under the lights belly for a ballast.

Yes, the HID headlights did come with the ballasts.

For $12.00 I have no complaints.

Maybe I'll upgrade it the future
