Added (5) Titanium CR2 cells to a recent order. Brand new out of the plastic
they tested as follows.

1 cell tested at 20%
1 cell tested at 40%
3 cells tested at 60%

Should have learned my lesson from the poor performance of their 123 cells.

This is the last time I stray from Duracell CR2's to try and save a few bucks!!!

Hello Seery,

Put them into a light, turn it on for about 30 seconds, then measure them again.

Let us know what you get.

Your request was performed in my Aeon.

Ran each cell for 30 seconds on low then 30 seconds on high.
After which time the cells rested for 3 minutes before testing.

Tested until 3 same results in a row.

The 20% cell dropped to 10%.
The 40% cell dropped to 20%.
(2) of the 60% cells stayed at 60%.
(1) of the 60% cells dropped to 40%.

Duplicated the same test with (5) Duracells. All (5) cells started
and ended at 100%.

My memory is probably at fault, but I thought the CR123 Titanium cells made after ~2006 were supposed to be quite good. Maybe I got a better batch than usual, but all 24 of mine performed well and I load tested them with a one amp drain.

I had similar luck with a batch of Titanium CR2's I bought last year.

Last time I looked, I was able to find Duracell's for ~$1.50 a piece in quantities of 12+, so it wasn't even worth looking for cheaper alternatives.

Sorry, I should have said that I was surprised their CR2 cells weren't good, because their 123s seemed to be decent. Maybe quality will be improved in the future.
