getting parts together for a 2C ROP (or wa01111) should I do resistance fixes to the switch and tailcap, or will it poof bulbs? The changes seem significant and easy to do.
Also wondering about the benefits of an FM bi-pin adapter instead of a potted bulb, won't it still be capable of melting the tower?

Depending on the setup it could:

the known goods:

  • Minimalize current leakage and increasing efficiency
  • Decrease in the deterioration of material components due to heat stress
  • Improved performance on lamps and may increase color temp to a more desired white [~3300K]
the known bads:

  • If your workmanship isn't up to par, you may destroy components beyond repair [especially in mag mods, cutting switch protrusions are often irreversible]
  • The lamp fries on the first light if your hotwires is too much on the extreme side

not a bad trade off for some improved performance, Personally I'm just too lazy to do it...primarily because I showoff my lights to people by taking them apart and showing the components that can be upgraded to make the light better. :D
