Which HDMI cable for PS3 (link inside)

I am looking for a cheap HDMI cable for my incoming PS3, but which one is good? there are so many kinds.

Monoprice has great prices. I've purchased various cables from them before and I'm quite satisfied.

If it's under 15 feet, pretty much any HDMI 1.3 cable will be fine. Some are rated for in-wall installation and are probably not necessary for you. Only when you start making runs longer than 15' do you need to look for thicker (lower gauge number) conductors or generally higher quality cables.

If you are at all uneasy about the "cheap" looking quality of the stuff at monoprice, check out bluejeanscable.com. They have very high quality stuff at good prices without the marketing BS you'd get from a big box store.

For Digital signals, just go for the cheapest cables. Bits either go in at one end and come out the other, or they don't, there is no in between.

Electrical cables don't transmit bits, they transmit electrical signals. The job of any cable is to transmit the signal from source to destination with minimal degradation. For longer runs, a cable with a thicker conductor will more easily accomplish this. And yes, there is an "in between" with digital. Although the source unit may transmit clear 0s and 1s in electrical pulses, once the signal passes through a cable, it may degrade to a point to where the receiving unit has to employ error correction and "guess" what the intended signal was. Digital video signals can and do suffer from degradation with visible artifacts. Compared to analog video, however, a digital video signal cannot experience much signal degradation before being unable to provide the display device with enough information to display a picture.
