This is my first mod for a Thor.

All of the idea's here came from other's here at CPF.:twothumbs

I wanted a focusable hid on the cheep but that never wooks out
in the end,We just keep adding and adding.
I started out with a stock cyclops Thor 130watt incan and stated
with a 50watt automotive ballist and a 4300k bulb but it did not fit to well or at all. Then I remembered someone using a telespoce focusing unit to
make the bulb turn in and out.
So off I went to the kids room to get her old telescope out of her closet.Lucky for her and probable me it would not wook.So of the the hobby shop for a new cheap one.

The new parts fit like a glove perfect infact.I exstended the control
knob to the outside and placed a crome knob on it.then added a small computer fan inside to keep the heat from building up and killing the plastic parts that are screwed
to the reflector. One master power switch and one volt meter and a few indicator leds later and she is up and running.

Still waiting for 16 5mm 240k leds to place around the rim for close up lighting then she will be finnished. So now on to the pics and a part # of
the telespoce used becouse it was made for this this I promise.

First a pic of the outside to show its size. Along with the focus knob
and the voltage display placement. There are also indicator leds next to
the switches that I added for the hell of it.

Next are the guts on the inside starting with a 12v fan for cooling that is controled from the outside lower switch, then we have a 50watt hid ballest,
and a 5vdc converter for the power meter to show battery status.

The next few shots show the reflector and telescope parts and how the all fit to gether. The ring to hold the h4 bulb was not going to cut it,
But it was the exact (exact) size to mount the rear section of the telescpoe to
with 3 screws (telescope model 36050 puchased at hobbytown usa)

I cut of the control knobs that came with it and attached a peace of 1/4 in rod to it with 1/4 air tubing from my fish tank (poor fish)
the tubling reaches the outside of the light and has a crome knob on it,
The air line tubing alows movment to get it in when you put the reflector back on.The bulb was apoxyed to the eye peace and then dremeled to fit
in the tube there was a bit of play in the movement so tape was needed.

Now for some close up beam shoot from indoors,Outside to fallow later sry.First the wide bulb placement and the beam,Followed by the tight beam shot.

Well thats it for now will travel out to get distance shots in a few day I hope.
I will hopefully have the 5mm leds in by the time i get to
meet the guy's at

Good job! I always like to read about Thor mods. This is the first light I've seen with a built in volt meter.
