Please bear with the newbie. I didn't know whether to post this here, in the Electronics/Batteries foorum or in the Modifications foorum.
I'm looking for a couple 4AA or 4AAA to D adapters. I used to have one that replaced a D-sized Hawker Eternacell in a headlamp.
I wanted to run my 2D maglite on a couple Saft Lithium D-cells and a 5D Carley Xenon Star, but as someone pointed out, the cost would be ridiculous. Instead, I'm thinking of pursuing an idea I read about while lurking here--a 2D Maglite powered by 8 AAs or AAAs in two of the D-cell adapters.
Does anyone know where I can get the adapters? Also, can anyone recommend a lamp for this application.
P.S. I'm buying an M2 for serious use. I'm playing with the 2D Maglite for fun.
