I'm using a modded Microfire Warrior K3500R for mountainbiking and I'm very happy with it.
Nevertheless I would love to have a more floody beam and more light in front of the front tire.

I will get a spare reflector and try to mod it for my needs, but what should I do?
Do I have to change the shape of the refletor or will it help to sandblast the reflective coating and use the matt aluminium surface instead?
Or should I simply get some heat resistant metallic paint for it?

Thanks for any feedback!

This is probably OT but I have to ask....

Is it a powercable that´s sticking out in the back of the light? And where have you put the battery pack then? In the bottle holder on the frame maybe?

It looks magnificent and I would love to see more pics of the light since I need something similar for my bike.

I would just put a mild diffuser in front of the light, like a few layers of ziploc bag or scotch tape over half of the lens. No use ruining a reflector.

I think scotch tape applied vertically to cover the bottom half of the lens would do what you want.
