Mountain Series

The MOUNTAIN SERIES of Peak LED Solutions flashlights use a special custom LED that we refer to as Snow white because of its color tint. Unlike most white 5 mm LEDs that have a very blueish color, the Snow white LED is very neutral in color tint. Power output levels average per LED are 20 Candela for standard output, 34 Candela or 5 Lumens for High Power and 40 Candela or 7 Lumens for Ultra Power times the number of LEDs per flashlight head.

MATTERHORN: The Matterhorn is a small pocket LED flashlight that uses a single AAA size battery and one or three 5 mm LEDs. It is available in black Anodized Aluminum, Brass, Stainless Steel, Gold plated brass and in limited runs of Titanium. Three different power levels, High Power single LED head, (34 candlepower) High Power three LED head, (90 candlepower) and Ultra Power three LED head (120 candlepower). Battery compartments include Key Ring, Lug, and Pocket styles in black Anodized Aluminum and Brass and Gold plated brass. Battery compartments of Key Ring and Pocket styles in Stainless Steel and limited runs of Key Ring style in Titanium are available. PACIFIC: Is a new design for 2006 that incorporates the latest in battery management electronics and a high performance 3 watt LED. The PACIFIC electronics monitors the requirement of the power output of the LED and the ability of a single Alkaline battery to supply electrical current to maintain that output level. When that output level can no longer be maintained, the electronics changes the operating mode to a battery saver operation by decreasing the output to about one-half of the original start up output. Lithium and NiMH rechargeable batteries maintain constant power output until depleted. The PACIFIC electronics can more than double the battery life at equal or greater light output in candlepower than some other same sized competitive LED flashlights.

RAINIER: The Rainier is a three and one-half watt output high performance LED flashlight using a single RCR-123A protected rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery. The head design uses a 20 mm diameter reflector for maximum light output with an unbreakable lens to protect the LED. The Key Ring style battery compartment is available in black Anodized Aluminum, Brass, Stainless Steel, and Gold plated brass. The pocket style battery compartment is available in black Anodized Aluminum and Brass. The pocket body with the optional cap can be used as a spare battery/storage compartment. Use only protected RCR-123A batteries.

The Rainier is the most powerful rechargeable single battery pocket sized LED flashlight available. Using the RCR-123 Lithium-Ion 3.7 volt battery, it will light up the side of a house at 300 feet. Many have referred to it as holding sun light in the palm of your hand. The RCR-123 Lithium-Ion battery under normal operating conditions can be recharged over 500 times with a normal run time of about 45 minutes per full charge. Extra Lithium-Ion batteries may be charged and replaced as needed, and then the discharged batteries can be placed in the optional charger. Some other competitive rechargeable LED flashlights require that the entire flashlight be placed in the charger. While their flashlight is being charged, it is not available to be used. The standard battery charger from Peak LED Solutions can charge two Lithium-Ion batteries from U.S. standard 120 volt AC outlet or a 12 volt DC automotive outlet.

rainiercad.jpg

The Rainier may also use a standard 3 volt Lithium battery for reduced light output and with a run time of about 12 hours or the 2 x AA battery compartment. A 3 volt two AA battery compartment in black Anodized Aluminum, Brass or Stainless Steel is available with an optional click-on, click-off tail switch. An optional detachable light wand in three different colors is available. A double ended CR-123A battery compartment in an anodized aluminum or brass is also available that can use a different head on each end, or one end can be used as a sealed spare battery/storage compartment with an optional cap. The optional momentary switch can be used on key-ring bodies that have the removable negative battery contact.

Accessories

delrincaps.jpg

Delrin Battery Caps
These are machined Delrin plastic caps that may be screwed into spare battery compartments. They are tapped for key ring adapters and are solid. They come with o-rings for water resistance. Key ring adapters, battery caps, and spare battery compartments are sold separately. Some compartments require two battery caps and others only one. Almost anything may be stored within including medicines with the stainless steel cases. The battery caps come in black or white. The white ones may be dyed with Ritt or other fabric dye to almost any color. Follow instructions on the package and suspend the battery cap in the liquid. Time will determine color tint and intensity.

peakgiftbox.jpg

Wooden Gift Box:
This is the perfect gift, collector set, or presentation award. Four different high performance LED flashlights housed in a Walnut or Oak display case; with brass hardware and a hinged glass lid. The set of flashlights are available in a choice of anodized aluminum, solid brass, stainless steel, pure titanium, or 24 carat gold plated brass. Each flashlight is laser engraved as requested. Batteries and accessories are included along with a black velvet pocket protector.

diffusercaps.jpg

Delrin Diffuser Caps
These are translucent Delrin slip-on caps used to reduce the light output of the flashlight when required such as when reading a book, menu, or to maintain night vision and not disturb others. There is also some side spill and the small hole in the center projects a reduced spot beam. Only insert the flashlight head far enough into the cap to prevent it from falling off. Jamming it all the way down will make it almost impossible to remove. From the left is for a Matterhorn, next is a Baltic Sea, third is a Pacific, and last is for the Caribbean. These may be dyed with Ritt or other fabric dye to almost any color. Follow package directions but do not allow the cap to come in contact with the metal or glass container.

magnetclamps.jpg

Magnetic Clamps
These accessory flashlight clamps and magnetic holders offer a usefulness not found in other flashlight lines. By removing the key ring adapter from the rear of the flashlight our pocket LED flashlight converts into a portable utility light. This accessory comes in three versions. The simplest is a strong magnet with a flexible plastic arm that may be positioned as required. To the rear is a very strong 2 inch opening clamp with magnet and the optional dual arm assembly. The smaller clamp has a one inch capacity and a standard single flex arm. These are great for automotive, general maintenance, or hobby applications. (Flashlight not included).

Far side of crazy.
Be careful, this information is akin to opening Pandora's Box!!! I went from one Peak Led to over 15 after viewing this information, not that I have any regrets.

For truly functional flashlights, Peak is unbeatable.

I'm really liking that "Matterhorn AAA smooth pocket style with a 3 LED head."

Could make for a nice super small EDC for those days the RA Twisty 85-TR is too big to carry. (Such as formal wear, etc.)

I can't wait to see the rest of the Peak line-up!

Curt convinced me to try a CR132 pocket body and I was originally against carrying a pocket body but I am now a convert. Doing so, allows me to carry my Shasta on my key chain while I slip the pocket body into my watch pocket should I need the greater output.
