power keeps flickering, now I don't really want people not to have power around here right now (since the temp is -2 with -30 wind chill). But darnit, I need flashlight vindication, especially since I just got a new Eagletac T10L for xmas.

ah well, I'm ready if it happens at least.

Dear Santa,

Please bring me 5 hours of darkness. I'll take the hit for my neighbors.

Ousanas (or any other of us mixed nuts)

If you don't have enought batteries for a 5 hour blackout, you need to reevaluate a bit.. you're certainly not a flashaholic if you're not ready for a few days.

Go for a walk in the dark, turn off your lights and play blackout, take a tent and go winter camping, lots of ways to use your lights without a sub zero blackout. You do not want one, period, they can get dangerous fast, especially for older citizens and children who fare less well in cold temps. Besides which, you sure your pipes wont freeze in below zero temps with no heat tapes, etc? You dont want frozen pipes either.

Find other ways to vindicate your flashlights...
